The ICY BIRCH is an accessory series made of soft, malleable tin, designed based on the imagery of the tree in a snowing field and all the austere simplicity that scene conveys.
By gently bending it, the branch-like stick turns into a bangle. And by gently folding the bark-inspired flat strip, it transforms into an ear cuff or ring.
First, Kakinoki produced the piano phrase that appears only once at the end. Then he dismantled the recording of it into materials to create the rest of the track. No other instruments or audio materials were used.

柔らかくマットな質感の錫(すず)を使用した「ICY BIRCH」は、自分で少しずつ折り曲げながら自由自在にかたちを変えられるアクセサリー。
枝のように真っ直ぐな棒はバングルに、樹皮のような平らなプレートはイヤーカフにと変化する。
Kakinokiはまず、楽曲の最後に一度だけ聴こえるピアノのフレーズを作った。そしてその録音データを解体したものを素材として、楽曲の残りの部分を制作した。それ以外の楽器や音素材は使われていない。
